KARACHI:

Businessmen of Karachi, while terming the US-Iran ceasefire a big achievement, have said that the development has brought immense pride to Pakistan, which has effectively saved the world from a much larger conflict.

Speaking at a meeting, Businessmen Group (BMG) Chairman Zubair Motiwala expressed optimism that the 15-day ceasefire would continue beyond the initial period and stressed that the US should allow Pakistan to move forward with the Iran gas pipeline project because Pakistan's long-term growth and industrial competitiveness depended heavily on affordable and uninterrupted energy supply.
